CELTA Application Process

If you are considering taking your CELTA course in Australia, there are certain necessary steps you must take to apply.

Step 1. Choose your location 

We have CELTA courses running across all major cities in Australia. Click here to find out these locations. Each location offers the same standard of training and issues the same CELTA certificate.

Step 2. Determine your eligibility

For you to be accepted onto a CELTA course in Australia, you must satisfy all the eligibility conditions. You can check here for the CELTA official entry requirements. Read thoroughly and understand the eligibility conditions. If you need any help, talk to us.

Step 3. Express your interest

Once you've decided a location and gone through the eligibility details, the next step is to express your interest by submitting the web application form. The application form is free and represents your formal declaration of interest to take part in a CELTA course in one of your desired location in Australia. 

Step 4: Complete the pre-interview task

The next step of your application involves submission of the completed pre-interview or application task. The pre-interview task will be sent to you after expressing your interest through our web application form.

The pre-interview task is where you will be able to demonstrate your English language skills. Most questions are about basic grammar and language awareness. Ensure you are well prepared for your pre-interview task as it is one of the primary considerations in accepting candidates for our CELTA courses.

Step 5: Attend an interview

After submitting the completed pre-interview task, we will evaluate it to determine if you meet the pre-entry requirements. Consequently, you will be invited to attend an interview.

The interview is usually conducted in person for candidates within the country or by telephone/Skype or any alternative arrangement for overseas candidates. At the interview stage of your application, an experienced tutor will conduct the interview and go through your pre-interview task once again. You'll also have an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

Step 6: Receive your offer letter

Candidates who are successful at the interview will receive a notification and offer letter confirming that they have been accepted to take the CELTA at their chosen centre in Australia. 

Note: It is only after you have received this offer that you are required to make payments for the CELTA. 

You will be required to:

• Pay a deposit to book the course (only after a successful interview).
• Pay the remaining balance before the course commences.
